Feel It Belize (the "Service", "we", "us", "our") is an owner-operated private yacht charter company based in Belize, operating the AMEL 54 sailing yacht on the Belize Barrier Reef. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit feelitbelize.com or contact us about a charter.
Our primary markets are the United States, Canada, and Belize. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws across these jurisdictions, including: Belize Data Protection Act 2021; the U.S. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and other U.S. state privacy laws (Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Utah UCPA, Texas TDPSA, Oregon OCPA, and similar); Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec Law 25; and, as a safety net for visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
When you submit our inquiry form or contact us via WhatsApp, we collect:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number
- Inquiry details: hotel or referrer, charter type, preferred dates, group size, message content, special requests
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically collects standard technical data for security and performance:
- IP address (used to detect bots and prevent abuse, then anonymized)
- Browser type and version, operating system, device type
- Referring URL, pages visited, timestamps
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other behavioural tracking. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and request your consent through a cookie banner.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry and provide a charter quote, availability, and itinerary
- To coordinate your charter with our crew and any partner hotels you reference
- To communicate with you before, during, and after your charter (confirmations, weather updates, follow-up)
- To improve our service based on guest feedback
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, maritime safety regulations)
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your information for marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate our website and respond to inquiries:
4.1 Web3Forms (form submission)
Inquiry form submissions are processed by Web3Forms (Statichunt Studios) and forwarded to our email. Form data is transmitted over HTTPS and is not stored permanently by Web3Forms beyond delivery. Web3Forms Privacy Policy.
4.2 Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, security)
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and protected by Cloudflare's CDN and WAF (Web Application Firewall). Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
4.3 Google Fonts
Our website loads Kaushan Script and Plus Jakarta Sans from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address when fonts are requested. Google Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use a minimal set of cookies, all strictly necessary for security and performance:
- Cloudflare security cookies (e.g.
__cf_bm,cf_clearance) — used to identify trusted web traffic and prevent bot abuse. These cookies do not track you across other websites.
We do not use marketing cookies, behavioural advertising trackers, or social media pixels. If we add Google Analytics or similar in the future, we will deploy a cookie consent banner allowing you to opt in or out before any non-essential cookie is set.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. We honour all rights described below for any verifiable request, regardless of where you reside.
6.1 California (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, the sources, purposes, and any disclosures
- Right to delete personal information we have collected, with limited exceptions
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide our service
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
6.2 Other U.S. state privacy laws
If you reside in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have similar rights to those granted under CCPA/CPRA, including:
- Right to access the personal data we have collected about you
- Right to delete your personal data
- Right to correct inaccuracies
- Right to data portability in a usable format
- Right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or significant automated decision-making (none of which we conduct)
- Right to appeal a denial of any of the above rights
6.3 Canada (PIPEDA)
If you are a Canadian resident, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies. You have the right to:

- Challenge accuracy and request correction
- Withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions

6.4 Quebec (Law 25)
Quebec residents have additional rights under Quebec's Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25), including the right to data portability, the right to be informed of any automated decision-making, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
6.5 Belize (Data Protection Act 2021)
Belize residents have rights under the Belize Data Protection Act 2021, including the right to access, rectify, and request deletion of personal data. Complaints may be lodged with the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner of Belize.
6.6 European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR)
While our service primarily targets North American and Belizean visitors, we also honour GDPR rights for any EU or UK resident who contacts us:
- Right of access — request a copy of personal data we hold
- Right to rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days (45 days under CCPA, with possible extension; 30 days under PIPEDA and GDPR). There is no charge for a first request in any 12-month period.
7. Data retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:
- Inquiry data: up to 12 months after the last contact, then deleted unless you become a guest
- Guest booking data: up to 7 years after your charter, for tax and legal compliance (Belize Income and Business Tax Act)
- Server logs (Cloudflare): typically 7-30 days, anonymized
8. International data transfers
Because our business operates in Belize and our visitors come from across North America and beyond, your data may be transferred and processed in multiple countries:
- Belize — where our business is based and charter coordination, scheduling, and customer communication take place
- United States — where Web3Forms and Cloudflare maintain primary data centres and infrastructure
- Canada and other regions — Cloudflare's global edge network may route website traffic via the nearest data centre to your location
For visitors from jurisdictions with cross-border transfer requirements:
- EU/UK residents: we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where the recipient is certified) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure adequate protection
- Canadian residents: transfers to the U.S. are made in accordance with PIPEDA's accountability principle, including contractual protections with our processors
- U.S. residents: all transfers occur within or between jurisdictions covered by U.S. privacy laws applicable to your state
9. Children's privacy
Our service is intended for adults (18+) booking yacht charters on behalf of themselves and their travel parties (which may include minors as guests). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (United States, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act — COPPA) or under 16 (European Union under GDPR) without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has submitted information through our website, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the latest revision was made. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on our homepage.
